On Friday, November 14, 2014 an historic event took place in Washington, D.C. The event received ample coverage by media and government bodies. Some hail it as a step forward in religious relations between two Abrahamic faiths. I see it as another task for the Muslim Brotherhood to check off, mark as complete, in their quest to bring the USA under the umbrella of Islam.
For the first time in history, Muslim prayers were offered at the National Cathedral, a Christian house of worship and historical landmark. The implications are astounding and shocking, especially given the players in this monumental event.
Christian House of Worship
The National Cathedral, properly known as The Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, was erected in 1893 under a charter passed by the United States Congress. It receives federal funds, and was recently awarded a federal grant of $700,000 to match private donor funds for remodeling and preservation. It is operated by the Episcopalian denomination, which has always been very liberal, inclusive, and tolerant to the point of being an embarrassment to the name of Christ. Nevertheless, as a Christian church, it has no business entertaining anything related to Islam, period.
Christianity & Islam: Polar Opposites
For those who claim the name of Christ and live as his followers and disciples, we believe the Bible to be true and accurate in every detail. Accordingly, we believe Satan was and is a real being, that he tried to set himself up to be “like the most High” and was subsequently expelled from the presence of God almighty. Satan took a third of the host of heaven with him and as an avowed enemy of YHWH promised to mislead as many of God’s children as possible into an eternity away from God’s presence.
If we accept the above as true, if you were standing in Satan’s sandals, how would best achieve your stated objective? I would create a religious system that stands in direct opposition to everything God says in his word, yet make this false religion intellectually appealing enough that hundreds of millions buy into it. This is Islam. It was created by Satan, who possessed Muhammad through trances to reveal his method of deceiving the masses. Muhammad himself acknowledged that he thought he had become demonically possessed in his first encounter with an angel he thought to be Gabriel.
Islam denies the crucifixion of Jesus, a well documented historical fact and the foundation of Christianity. And since Jesus never died in Islam, there is no resurrection, another foundational pillar of the gospel message. Islam says we are saved through good works, Christianity through the death of Jesus as the final blood sin sacrifice. Islam says Jesus was merely a prophet; Christianity says he was “God with us.” In every facet, Islam contradicts Christian beliefs. It then boggles the mind why a Christian church would want to join hands with Islam.
Aiding the Worship of a False Deity
“I am the Lord your God, who brought out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.” Exodus 20:2-3
“… you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God.” Exodus 20:5
(for you shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), Exodus 34:14
For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Deuteronomy 4:24
you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me. Deuteronomy 5:9
(for the LORD your God is a jealous God among you), lest the anger of the LORD your God be aroused against you and destroy you from the face of the earth. Deuteronomy 6:15
God is jealous, and the LORD avenges;
The LORD avenges and is furious.
The LORD will take vengeance on His adversaries,
And He reserves wrath for His enemies; Nahum 1:2
Time and again God spells out what will happen to those who worship or facilitate the worship of a false god, regardless what they call themselves. The leaders of the National Cathedral risk incurring the wrath of a jealous God, and will be required to answer to Him for their actions.
But as we also see from the Old Testament, God at times judges the entire nation for the actions of a few, because they disgraced his holiness and those who could have intervened did nothing.
Aiding the worship of a false deity has consequences, for the individuals directly involved, and potentially for the nation as a whole.
Anatomy of an Islamic Prayer
Every prayer begins with Muslims reciting the first chapter of the Quran, known as Al Fatiha. Every Muslim commits all seven verses of this chapter to memory. They know it as well as they know their own name.
What many fail to realize, though, is that verses 6 and 7 are a direct insult toward Jews and Christians. Some even believe it to be a direct curse against Christians. These verses read:
“Guide us to the Straight Way, The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians).”
Seventeen times daily as part of their regular prayers Muslims curse Jews as those upon whom Allah has bestowed his wrath, and Christians as those who have gone astray.
It confounds the mind why a Christian church would invite Muslims into their reverent place of worship to have those same Muslims curse them.
Primary Actors:
The major participants of this event reads like a Who’s Who of the world of terrorism and the Muslim Brotherhood.
CAIR
The Council for American-Islamic Relations promotes itself as an Islamic civil rights organization for Muslims in the USA. Yet nothing could be further from the truth. They are, first and foremost, an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood.
CAIR used to be on congenial terms with the FBI. Leaders of each organization had regular contact with each other. The FBI used CAIR ostensibly to help identify Muslims who were on the road to radicalization and might be considered a security threat. But after several investigations of CAIR, the FBI cut off relations, and those relations remained severed to this day.
In 2009, the book “Muslim Mafia” was released. Authored by David Gaubatz, a State Department trained Arab linguist, Gaubatz and his son went undercover to penetrate deep inside the inner workings of CAIR. The removal of thousands of documents intended for the shredder revealed the source of CAIR’s funding, its strategic plans for undermining the government, and the leaders of the organization and their ties to terrorists worldwide.
Around the same time, the trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development was winding up in Dallas. The Holy Land Foundation is an Islamic charity that collected charitable contributions from mosques around the nation (a required pillar of Islam). Evidence introduced during the trial found the HLF to be funneling money to Hamas, a designated terrorist organization. Named as a co-conspirator along with the HLF was CAIR.
Subsequent to the trial, CAIR petitioned the Justice Department to have its name exorcised from the list of co-conspirators. The petition was denied, with the deciding judge ruling the evidence presented by the FBI linking CAIR to the HLF was undeniable. In his ruling, Federal Judge Jorge Solis stated: “The Government has produced ample evidence to establish the association of CAIR, ISNA and NAIT with HLF, the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP) and with Hamas.”
The judge ordered CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT to remain on the unindicted co-conspirator list. A three-judge Federal Appellate panel unanimously upheld this decision.
In a word, CAIR supports terrorism financially as well as logistically and the government has documentation to prove it.
Interestingly, as I was writing this, news came out that the United Arab Emirates has identified dozens of terrorist organizations worldwide. CAIR is included in their list.
MPAC
According to former FBI agent and national security expert John Guandolo, “The Muslim Public Affairs Council was formed out of the Islamic Center of Southern California, a Muslim Brotherhood front organization, and was created with the help of Maher Hathout, a protégé of MB founder Hassan al Banna. It serves as a significant Muslim Brotherhood public relations front, and has a strong presence in Hollywood and within government entities.”
The current president of MPAC is Salam Al-Marayati. According to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, Al-Marayati’s record of defending terrorists and extremists is substantial. He defends both Hamas and Hezbollah as legitimate resistance movements. He has advocated for both to be removed from the government’s list of terrorist organizations.
In a video filmed by a colleague, and available on my YouTube channel, Al-Marayati is caught in an outright lie. When asked if wife beating is found in the Quran, he explicitly says it is not, contrary to Sura 4:34.
The MPAC is a Muslim Brotherhood organization and its current leader a lying sympathizer of terrorist organizations.
ISNA
The Islamic Society of North America was also identified as an un-indicted co-conspirator of funneling Islamic charitable donations to Hamas through the Holy Land Foundation. ISNA petitioned to have its name removed from the list, along with CAIR as noted above, and the request was denied.
ISNA puts on a good face publicly, but its leaders both past and present are anything but moderate. Past president Muzammil Siddiqi is the imam of the Islamic Society of Orange County, the mosque where the American Al Qaeda operative and English spokesperson for Al Qaeda was recruited.
ADAMS Center, Mohammad Majid
The All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) is a radical Sunni mosque located in Sterling, VA. I have personally been to this mosque to hand out literature to congregants leaving Friday prayer. My picture was taken by mosque leaders.
The offices of the mosque were raided by federal officials as part of a terrorism funding and money laundering scheme. Mohammad Majid denounced the investigations as “intent on dismantling Muslim organizations and bringing them down.” Majid’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood are well established. But he is a darling to the public because he openly participated in “interfaith dialog” harmony with Jewish and Christian organizations.
Muslim Brotherhood’s Plan for America
The largest terrorism financing trial in the United States began in 2008 and concluded the following year in Dallas. The trial involved the investigation of an Islamic charity called the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF). The HLF was found to be collecting charitable contributions from Muslim organizations around the nation and funneling that money through various channels to eventually end up in the hands of Hamas. One of those organizations sent money to be laundered to the ADAMS center, noted above.
Introduced as evidence at the trial by the FBI was a document discovered in 2004. In August 2004 Ismail Elbarasse and his wife were observed taking photographs of the support structures of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Authorities were alerted and a search warrant was obtained. While raiding the home of Elbarasse, the FBI discovered a virtual legal library of the Muslim Brotherhood: plans, photographs, charts, financial records, video and audio, and numerous other articles were seized. One document uncovered was titled “An Explanatory Memorandum: On The Strategic Goal for the Group, 5/22/1991.” It has been given the short name of “The Plan.”
The Plan is a strategic, methodical strategy to gradually subvert the United States, not overtly, but very covertly. The end goal, according to The Plan, is that the Muslim Brotherhood “must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”
The document provides five phases of operation:
Phase One: Phase of discreet and secret establishment of elite leadership. Complete. MB leadership is well established, and as noted some were invited to lead prayers at the National Cathedral.
Phase Two: Phase of gradual appearance on the public scene … establishing a shadow government. I would say phase two is complete or nearly so.
Phase Three: Escalation phase, prior to conflict and confrontation with the rulers. This phase is beginning, with open challenges to our legal system and sympathy for Islamic ideology: the request to acknowledge sharia as an alternate legal system
Phase Four: Open public confrontation with the Government through exercising the political pressure approach. Training on the use of weapons domestically and over seas in anticipation of zero hour. The MB is already active in this area as well, with training camps identified across the USA.
Phase Five: Seizing power to establish the Islamic Nation.
John Guandolo notes the Process of Settlement, a key component of both phase two and three, is “Civilization jihad by OUR hands. They seek to get our leadership – political, religious, media, university/college presidents and boards and law enforcement / intelligence / military professionals – to do their bidding for them.
The MB succeeded in subverting the religious leadership of the nation’s most cherished and honored house of worship. And they did it by OUR hands, just as their plan predicted.
All the World Belongs to Allah
A foundational principle in Islam is that all the world belongs to Allah. This notion is the basis behind the MB’s plan to take the United States for Allah. It is rooted in the teaching of Muhammad. Thus, it is not extremist mentality; it is Islam.
The idea that all the world belongs to Allah comes from traditions attributed to Muhammad (hadith) which are second in authority to the Quran for Islamic belief and practice. In one account where Muhammad had invited a Jewish tribe to embrace Islam, the tradition notes:
… the Messenger of Allah … came to us and said: ‘(Let us) go to the Jews’… The Messenger of Allah … stood up and called out to them (saying): ‘O ye assembly of Jews,
accept Islam (and) you will be safe [aslim taslam].’ [And after repeating this another two times, he said]: ‘You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle, and I wish that I should expel you from this land. Those of you who have any property with them should sell it, otherwise they should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle’ (and they may have to go away leaving everything behind).
Mark Durie makes this observation regarding this announcement by Muhammad:
The remarkable announcement that ‘the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle’ expressed a principle that became foundational for theologies of jihad. If all earthly authority not submitted to Islam is usurped authority, then all warfare which seeks to wrest control from un-godly authorities is defensive in nature, taking property which rightfully belongs to Islam. All Islamic warfare against unbelievers is thus defensive, and land and booty taken in jihad is liberated rather than conquered.
Thus, when the MB subverts and infiltrates all our institutions, including religious, as they have apparently done, they are doing so to liberate these institutions and wrest control from ungodly authorities, to restore that which rightfully belongs to Islam. Remember, the MB plan involves a kind of ‘grand jihad’ which can be either overt warfare or covert subversion. In the case of establishing Muslim prayers at the National Cathedral, the MB used the latter choice. They have been successful.
Durie: Do Not Learn Islam from Muslims
“How can this possibly happen?” may be a question some are asking. How could we have been so ignorant and blind? Why did we not know enough to see through the smokescreen and identify the true significance of what took place?
The answer lies in two words: Ignorance and apathy. Americans are a strange lot. They seem more interested in following the latest sexual shenanigans of the Kardashians, or what will next walk into the door of that Las Vegas pawn shop, than they are in where we are headed as a nation. And this applies even more so when it comes to Islam. The American public does not concern itself with understanding Islam and the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood, even though the future of our freedom is at stake.
And when the media and politicians do want to learn a bit about Islam, they turn to Muslim spokespersons under the naïve assumption they will get unbiased and truthful information. This is dangerous and short sighted.
As noted above, the ADAMS mosque is heavily involved in interfaith initiatives. Apparently the leadership of the National Cathedral is also. The press release announcing the Friday prayers of November 14, 2014 included the following remarks:
The Cathedral has welcomed Muslims in the past, often at interfaith services and events, as well as at the Interfaith Conference of Greater Washington’s annual concert and specific programs such as the 2008 Ramadan Iftar at the Cathedral College. But this is the first time the Cathedral has invited Muslims to come and lead their own prayers in a space known as a house of prayer for all people.
I turn again to Mark Durie who so eloquently reflects my sentiments regarding such interfaith initiatives.
Today there can be considerable pressure upon non-Muslims not to study the primary sources of Islam for themselves, but to refer all their questions about Islam to a Muslim expert. Interfaith dialogue is an increasingly important forum for exploring Islam in Western countries, and these forums tend to follow principles of mutual respect, emphasizing listening attentively to the other party and accepting their interpretations of their own faith. While this is a common-sense approach to sustaining productive and mutually satisfying relationships between people, it does however tend to have the same impact as traditional sharia restrictions, inhibiting non-Muslims from studying about Islam for themselves.
If a Christian involved in interfaith dialogue wants to know what Islam teaches, they will often ask their Islamic counterpart without devoting the effort needed to check what they are told. This can lead to serious problems of misunderstanding. At the same time, if a Christian does make investigations, and comes to conclusions which do not reflect positively on Islam, it can be a simple matter for a Muslim to cast doubt on the Christians’ findings because of the inherent complexity of the Quran, and its relationship to the Sunna and the Islamic traditions of reflection on these texts. Strategies which I have heard used are to say that the non-Muslim has quoted material out of context, that a particular hadith which was relied on is ‘unsound’, or that most authorities reject the interpretation offered.
One very good reason why Christians should study Islam for themselves is that Islam defines its spiritual identity, not merely in terms of Muslims’ standing before Allah, but in opposition and contrast to Jews and Christians. This self-definition includes a deep rejection of Christianity and Judaism. It is a sad fact that incitement against non-Muslims, and specifically against followers of Biblical faiths, is an integral part of Islam, being hard-wired into the Quran and the Sunna.
Misinformation about Islam is a constant issue for non-Muslims. A report in the Herald Sun, a major Melbourne daily newspaper, was published on August 8, 2005 stating that the senior Muslim Imam of Victoria, Sheikh Fehmi (subsequently appointed as Australia’s mufti) reassured non-Muslims in Victoria that Muslims wish only to live in peace with their non-Muslim neighbours:
‘Muslims live cheerfully and happily with all denominations,’ Sheik Fehmi said. ‘This is what Islam is. The Prophet has lived among Jews and Christians. In many parts of the world Muslims, Jews and Christians are living happily.’
Who would not applaud Sheikh Fehmi’s desire for people of different faiths to live together in harmony? The problem arises when he appeals to Muhammad’s example as the basis for non-Muslims to have confidence, that Muslim neighbours represent no threat to peaceful co-existence. Although there was a time when Muhammad lived peacefully alongside non Muslims, large sections of Muhammad’s biographies deal with periods when he was embattled with his non-Muslim Jewish neighbours. Muhammad ordered assassinations of women and old men, oversaw a mass decapitation and enslavement of hundreds of his Jewish neighbours. This darker material Sheikh Fehmi could not fail to be familiar with, as these victories of Islam over the Jews of Arabia are as well-known to Muslim children as Joshua’s conquest of Jericho has been to Sunday School children.
How then are Fehmi’s non-Muslim, fellow Victorians to understand what he means by his reassurances that they can have nothing to worry about, because Islam takes Muhammad as its example? Should non-Muslims just regard this as propaganda, or is it to be understood as a threat?
If a non-Muslim were to have written in response to Sheikh Fehmi’s comment in the Herald Sun, pointing out Muhammad’s less than happy relationships with his non-Muslim neighbours, how could this be done without sounding like incitement of interfaith conflict and a rejection of Fehmi’s apparently moderate and peaceful stance? By relying on acceptance of the excellence of Muhammad’s example as a condition of interfaith harmony, Sheikh Fehmi’s words serve to lock up the truth about Muhammad even more tightly in the dark box of ignorance.
These are not easy subjects to deal with, but deal with them we must, and one of the keys to a free and frank conversation with Muslims about such matters of importance is that non-Muslims must study Islam for themselves. They cannot rely on Muslim spokespeople as their only source of information on Islam. The same can be said for Muslims: they also should not rely on secondary sources, not even on Islamic clerics, to understand their faith.
Christian Persecution Worldwide
While we are letting Muslim Brotherhood leaders into our churches to lead prayers to Allah, Christians around the world continue to suffer hardships, persecution, death, and destruction of their churches and businesses at the hands of Muslims.
From Boko Haram in Nigeria, to ISIS in Iraq and Syria, to daily persecution of Christians in Egypt and Pakistan and other places far and wide not at the hands of extremists but at the hands of regular ordinary Muslims, the destruction of Christianity continues with barely a glance by world leaders and media. According to Open Doors, nine of the top ten nations where Christians face the most hostility are Muslim nations, North Korea being the lone exception.
Raymond Ibrahim, an Egyptian Christian and author of the Al-Qaeda Reader blogs monthly about Christian persecution at the hands of Muslims around the world. Pastor Saeed remains in prison in Iran for the sole crime of being a Christian. Asia Bibi remains on death row in Pakistan on trumped up charges of blasphemy, because her Muslim coworkers did not like her because she was a Christian. Dozens of similar stories flood the news regularly, and Raymond Ibrahim documents just a fraction of them in a multi-page report he distributes every month.
Yet we hear nothing from our political leaders about the plight of Christians at the hands of Muslims. Instead, we hear platitudes like “only a very small minority of extremists do such things” or “Islam is a religion of peace and does not condone such actions.” Hogwash on both accounts.
By allowing senior Islamic leaders, and more so with those well connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, into our churches as a gesture of “interfaith understanding and harmony” does a disservice to our brothers and sisters globally. I wonder how many of these leaders would be willing to demonstrate interfaith goodwill by advocating for a Christian to hold a prayer service at the Grand Mosque in Mecca. As it stands, Christians are not allowed within miles of Mecca for fear of defiling the holy sanctuary of Muhammad, to say nothing about gaining access to the mosque itself.
As Christian leaders in our nation are calling attention to this event, they are missing out of an opportunity to speak out in defense of Christians worldwide suffering daily at the hands of Muslims. It is as if such interfaith harmony is a one-way street, ensuring Muslims are free from persecution and free to practice their religion, but the same concessions are never mentioned for Christians in Muslim lands.
Islam: Conquest Until all Other Religions Made Inferior
Ibrahim Hooper, spokesperson for CAIR, stated, "I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future...But I'm not going to do anything violent to promote that. I'm going to do it through education."
Omar Ahmed, co-founder of CAIR said, “Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was guaranteed the protection of his property and life on my behalf except for the right affairs rest with Allah. Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Hadith 30
It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah. Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Hadith 33
Muhammad made it clear that Muslims are to continue to push for worldwide domination of Islam, and leaders of national Islamic groups have said the same. Islam IS NOT tolerant of other religions: witness endless persecution of non-Muslims in Islamic lands. Talk of “interfaith” relations is a smokescreen to hide the end goal of complete Islamic domination.
The leaders of the National Cathedral are aiding and abetting their ultimate destruction. There is no other way to describe it.
Conclusion
We can only hope The Rev. Canon Gina Campbell, director of liturgy for Washington National Cathedral, acted out of ignorance when she invited CAIR, MPAC, ISNA, and Mohammad Magid of the All Dulles Area Muslim Society into the halls of the National Cathedral to curse Christians and dedicate the cathedral in the name of Allah. Such ignorance, if this was truly the case, can be corrected by education. If not done in ignorance, one can only conclude that the Rev. Campbell stands in agreement with the Muslim Brotherhood plan to bring down America by “‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” The MB has effectively infiltrated the highest levels of our government, our education system and textbook selection process to the point of exalting Islam over other religions, our intelligence community, and now, our churches.
God have mercy on us.
